Getting Started
Q:How do I get started with LilSense?
Download LilSense from the App Store, create an account with your email, and set up your baby's profile. You'll be logging events within minutes. No complicated setup required.
Q:Is LilSense free to use?
LilSense offers a free tier with core tracking features. Premium features like advanced predictions and extended history are available with a subscription.
Q:What devices does LilSense work on?
LilSense is currently available for iPhone running iOS 15 or later. We're focused on delivering the best possible experience on iOS before expanding to other platforms.
Night Mode
Q:What is Night Mode?
Night Mode provides a true black screen with dimmed quick-log buttons—perfect for 3am feedings. Just tap to log and go back to sleep. Haptic feedback confirms your log without lighting up the room.
Q:How do I exit Night Mode?
Tap the X button in the top corner, or triple-tap anywhere on the screen for a quick exit.
Q:Will Night Mode wake my partner?
Night Mode is designed to minimize disturbance. The true black screen produces no light on OLED displays, and haptic feedback replaces audio confirmations. Tap anywhere to exit when you're done.
Predictions
Q:How accurate are the predictions?
Predictions improve as LilSense learns your baby's unique patterns. We show you a time range (like 'likely in 45-90 minutes') rather than false precision. After a few days of consistent logging, predictions become quite reliable.
Q:How does LilSense predict what my baby needs?
LilSense analyzes patterns in your logged events—feeding intervals, sleep durations, typical wake times—to predict when your baby will likely need something next. The more you log, the smarter it gets.
Q:Why is my baby's prediction different from typical schedules?
Every baby is unique! LilSense learns YOUR baby's patterns, not generic schedules from books. Your baby might eat more frequently or sleep longer than 'average'—that's perfectly normal.
Partner Sharing
Q:How do I share with my partner?
Go to Settings → Share with Partner. You'll get an invite code to share. Your partner downloads LilSense, creates their account, and enters the code to join your baby's profile.
Q:What can my partner see and do?
Partners have full access to view all events and add new ones. They can see predictions and patterns. They cannot delete your account or baby profile.
Q:Can I remove a partner's access?
Yes. Go to Settings → Manage Partners to revoke access at any time.
Q:How does handoff work?
When your partner opens the app, they immediately see all recent events and upcoming predictions. No more 'Did you feed her?' questions—everything is right there.
Privacy & Data
Q:What data does LilSense collect?
We collect only what's necessary: your email for account login, your baby's name and age range, and the events you log. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
Q:Is my baby's data safe?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. We use row-level security to ensure you can only access your own data. We never sell data or use it for advertising.
Q:Can I export or delete my data?
Absolutely. Go to Settings → Export My Data to download everything, or Settings → Delete All My Data to permanently remove all data from our servers.
Q:Is LilSense COPPA compliant?
Yes. LilSense is designed for parents and caregivers (adults), not children. We collect information about babies, not from babies. Parents have full control over their data.
Troubleshooting
Q:My events aren't syncing across devices.
Pull down on the home screen to force a refresh. Check your internet connection. If issues persist, try signing out and back in.
Q:I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
On the login screen, tap 'Forgot Password?' and enter your email. You'll receive a password reset link within minutes.
Q:The app is slow or crashing.
Try force-closing and reopening the app. Make sure you're running the latest version from the App Store. If problems continue, contact support@lilsense.com.
